Screening and Risk Assessment

Screening and Risk Assessment enables our pharmacists to identify patients at risk of disease  and provide advice and treatment plans.  This does not take the place of visiting a doctor but can help in some situations. Screening and Risk Assessment can be offered for the following conditions.

Asthma Inhaler Technique

Approximately 80% of Australians using an inhaler do not use it effectively. Our team of professional staff have been trained to give advice in proper inhaler technique, helping you gain better control of your asthma. This will mean less time absent from school or work, fewer hospital visits and less asthma attacks.

Diabetes Type 2 Risk Assessment

Type 2 diabetes occurs when the body doesn’t use glucose properly. Insulin is a hormone produced by your body that transfers glucose from the blood to your body cells. When a person has type 2 diabetes, insulin is either not made in sufficient quantities or is not working properly.

Once diagnosed, Type 2 diabetes can be managed and patients can live a healthy life. Our team of pharmacists can help assist with management of this condition.

We also offer screening and risk assessment for:

  • Sleep Apnoea
  • Wound Care
